Thank you to all who responded to the Call for Contributions: The Future of Spatial Data Infrastructure – Demonstrative Examples of the Next Generation of SDI . Issued by OGC in support of the U.S. Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC), this call sought real-world examples of current or in-development spatial data infrastructure capabilities.
We’re grateful to the more than two dozen OGC member organizations from across sectors, listed below , who took the time to share their insights and experiences. Your efforts bring together the talents of governments, the civil defense community, academia, the private sector and more. Your ideas are essential to understanding how next-generation SDI can enhance discovery, access, integration, and use of geospatial information across domains, technologies, and organizations.
What comes next: OGC is developing an online resource to showcase selected contributions that point to the future of SDI. This platform will provide visibility into real-world implementations and in-progress efforts that exemplify next-generation work. These examples and those of potential future contributors will highlight new approaches, tools, and technologies. By sharing them, our evolving online resource will aim to inform and inspire continued SDI innovation across the global geospatial community.
We appreciate your engagement and leadership in advancing the future of spatial data infrastructure.
