Simone was born in 1971 in Manhattan and currently lives in Staten Island. Her whimsical and imaginative art depicts brightly colored scenes of animals, particularly cats. In addition to being an artist, Simone is a belly dancer who performs with a dance company in Manhattan. She has participated in a number of Outsider Art exhibitions in New York and abroad and is included in numerous private collections. The New York Daily News wrote an article about her life entitled, Special Young Artist Dances Past Autism.
