El bullicio de la Ciudad de México se filtraba por las ventanas del restaurante, una mezcla de cláxones, vendedores ambulantes y guitarras callejeras que parecía anunciar el inicio de algo grande. Sonia había llegado primero y eligió una mesa junto al ventanal. Mientras observaba el vaivén de la avenida Reforma, recordó el día en que todo había comenzado: la reunión familiar en Bogotá meses atrás, cuando entre risas y sobremesas alguien lanzó la idea de viajar juntos de nuevo. Lo que empezó como un comentario nostálgico terminó creciendo con mensajes, llamadas y planes que poco a poco se hicieron serios. Y ahora, por fin, estaban aquí.
Juan entró con su paso relajado y esa sonrisa que nunca perdía. Se inclinó para abrazar a Sonia y bromeó con que ella siempre elegía los lugares con las sillas más incómodas.
