Joining the Sea to Sky Workplace Inclusion Charter (WIC)

By joining the Sea to Sky Workplace Inclusion Charter, your organization is making a public commitment to building more welcoming, equitable, and inclusive workplaces across the sea to sky region. Charter signatories agree to take meaningful, practical steps toward improving workplace inclusion — at a pace that fits their organization.

Duties & Time Commitment

Charter signatories commit to the following

Charter Commitments

Employers must implement mandatory commitments 1 & 2. Plus at least five additional commitments. One of those five must be commitment 6, 7, or 8

Choose commitments that align with your capacity, priorities, and workplace context.

Review and update your selected commitments annually as your organization grows in its inclusion work.

Participation & Collaboration

Attend an annual check-in meeting with Whistler Multicultural Society (WMS) to share progress, challenges, and feedback on the Charter.

Share relevant information, resources, and learnings between your organization and the Sea to Sky Workplace Inclusion Charter network.

Champion welcoming and inclusive workplaces by promoting the values and goals of the Charter within your networks and community.

Typical time commitment: a few hours per month, depending on the commitments selected.
