We were commissioned to design a substantial five-bedroom family home in a highly desirable residential area of Beaconsfield, set against a woodland backdrop that provides privacy and a strong natural setting.
This property formed part of an exclusive development of three large, detached houses, each designed to complement the area’s character while maintaining its own architectural identity.
The client’s brief was to create a modern, elegant residence offering generous living space and a high level of comfort. The house was to include a spacious kitchen and breakfast area as the heart of the home, a formal living room, and a dedicated cinema room. All five bedrooms were required to have en-suites. A double garage was also to be incorporated, along with a practical utility area positioned discreetly to the rear.
The design approach focused on creating a refined and well-balanced home that would sit comfortably within both its woodland setting and the wider three-house development.
Large front-facing windows were introduced to maximise natural light and enhance the dwelling’s architectural presence. Stone detailing was incorporated to provide depth and visual interest to the façade, while rendering was proposed to create a clean, contemporary finish and introduce a modern touch to the overall composition.
Internally, the layout was carefully arranged to ensure both functionality and flow. The spacious kitchen and breakfast area form the heart of the home, ideal for family life and entertaining. A separate cinema room provides a dedicated leisure space, and the five generously proportioned bedrooms, each with an ensuite, offer comfort and privacy.
The double garage was integrated to the side of the property to maintain proportional balance, with the utility area positioned to the rear to support day-to-day practicality without impacting the main living areas.
